Not So Ugly

Seems like my grandfather is doing better. Apparently some sort of medication affected him not too well. He's speaking but what he's saying is gibberish, but he's doing much better than he was before.

Hey, some short movie reviews... (spoilers if anybody cares about these two movies to begin with)

Salt
As an action/spy thriller, this movie was pretty blah. It almost seemed to have made things up as the movie went on. I think I would have liked the movie better if everything said about Evelyn Salt wasn't true and she was running to prove her innocence. Yeah, yeah, I know, that's typical spy thriller fare, but it would have worked better with this movie than what it actually went with: finding out Salt was in fact a Russian agent so they had every right to be chasing after her, despite her intentions of not going through with the Russian plans. My Netflix rating: 2/5 stars (Didn't Like It)

Resident Evil: Afterlife
When will they stop making these movies? Never, I guess, since the fifth movie is slated to come out in 2012. I loved the first Resident Evil movie. I thought it was done decently for a zombie movie based on a video game, but each sequel is worse and worse. The beginning nearly turned me off from the movie but thankfully the rest of the movie was a little better. I'm glad Paul Anderson decided to retcon all the Super Alice nonsense and her clones, introduced in the last movie, in the very beginning: the clones all died in a huge explosion and Wesker injected Alice with a serum that took away her super powers. The slo-mo junk throughout the movie was not needed. Bullet time was already old in 1999. And what was the point of introducing Chris Redfield? He really didn't do anything. The rest of the movie was blah as well. My Netflix rating: 2/5 stars (Didn't Like It)
